Super GT Description

A racing game from Sega.

Game Play

The game play is similiar to Daytona USA, except that you choose several different licensed cars from the BPR Organisation now known as FIA GT.

Players can challenge four race tracks using four different kinds of cars. Depending on the course, as many as 20 to 40 cars are on the track at once.

TRACKS – There are four tracks of three different difficulty levels:
The BEGINNER DAY course takes place in an urban locale in a tropical setting. The normal number of laps for this course are four. The track is very fast, but there are a number of corners that still need to be navigated properly for the best lap times. You can only go so fast before taking on the tricky high-speed corners.

BEGINNER NIGHT course takes place at an airport in the late evening. It is the only night course in the game. The normal number of laps for this course is four. This track feels like an oval all the way around, except that two decisive kinks in the road could mean the difference between good lap times and poor ones. The final portion has a dip in the road that could throw off the balance of your car heading into the final section.

MEDIUM COURSE is a Figure8 road course featuring lovely waterfalls, high mountains, and ancient temples. The usual number of laps for this race is three. Find a good racing line and try to keep the car on the road as much as possible.

EXPERT COURSE is undoubtedly a European locale with the village, the castle, and the coliseum. Races usually last three laps here. Keep mistakes to an absolute minimum while finding a favorable racing line.

CARS

Four cars are available for you to go racing with:

PORSCHE 911 GT2 is the Easy Driving car. This is recommended for beginners as it isn very fast, neither does it have a high top speed.

FERRARI F40 is the Normal Driving car. Better driving skill is needed to wrestle this Italian stallion. Its top speed is higher than the Porsche.

DODGE VIPER GTS-R is the High Torque car, allowing it to use its power quickly and efficiently. Despite good acceleration, it comes at the cost of average handling.

McLaren F1 is the High Speed car. It is the fastest car in the game and requires expert level skill to utilize fully especially on the tougher circuits.
