Double Dragon Arcade Game
Billy and Jimmy Lee (Known as Hammer and Spike) take on the Black Warriors gang in this classic beat ’em up arcade. Released in 1987 by Taito, the Double Dragon arcade game was one of the first side scrolling fighting games, inspiring many other games in the future. In this classic arcade game, you fight as either Hammer or Spike who must work together to rescue their common love interest, Marian.
This game enabled players to either assist one another or they could inflict damage on each other’s characters as well. Fighting techniques range from classic martial arts punches and kicks to elbow jabs and head shots. Hammer and Spike can also disarm their enemies and use their weapons against them, including dynamite, baseball bats, whips, and knives. The brothers make their way through the four missions: a city alley, a factory, the woods, and finally the gang’s hideout. The game ends with either one player fighting the final boss, or the two players fighting each other to see who gets the girl. This classic game comes in the original cabinet with all original artwork.
