Williams Multigame Description
Sean Riddle’s original concept made into a reality for the masses. This hardware kit allows a Williams Joust or Robotron PCB to play 6 classic Williams games: Defender, Stargate, Robotron, Joust, Bubbles, and Splat!
Defender Description
Defend the human population from swarms of attacking aliens. Extremely popular even though it was deemed a flop at a 1981 Chicago arcade machine trade show because of its difficulty. The attract mode for the game was programmed in just five hours.
Stargate Description
The player’s ship flies over a horizontally scrolling planet surface, protecting friendly humanoids from alien abduction. Destroying all enemies advances you to the next wave. Loss of all humanoids destroys the planet until it is reinstated every fifth wave.
Robotron Description
The object of the game is to save the last human family although it seems they had a really big family and kill anything or anyone who gets in your way. Two joysticks are used for play control one for movement and the other for firing.
Joust Description
You are a knight flying on an ostrich, battling buzzard-mounted enemies. To fly, you repeatedly hit the flap button. To topple the Buzzard-Riders “the highest lance wins.” Two-player head-to-head play is excellent.
Bubbles Description
Player controls a soap bubble in the kitchen sink, roaming about and mopping up crumbs, ants, and greasies. Watch out for the razor blades and roaches!
Splat Description
Player has a choice of three characters. Characters wander around a playfield while foodstuffs cascade down from the top. Player grabs a pie (for example) and chucks it at NPCs or the other player.
