Description
Here is a Gyruss arcade game for sale. This game is a space shoot em up game. It is kind of like a mix of Tempest and Galaga. You can move your ship in a circle around the whole screen and you shoot the enemy ships as them come up from the middle. This part is like Tempest. You can add extra firepower. It also has chance stages like Galaga. It has an incredible sound track with stereo sound. This game was designed by Yoshiki Okamoto. He only designed 2 games for Konami, Gyruss and Time Pilot. He then went to Capcom and made some of their most successful games like 1942, Final Fight and the Street Fighter series.
The following is from the Arcade Museum
A shoot-em-up through the Earth’s solar system where the player’s ship moves in a circular orbit around the outer edge of the screen while shooting at enemies in the center. Excellent synthesizer music score of Bach’s “Tocatta and Fugue in D Minor”.
Gyruss was produced by Konami in 1983.
