Here is a Galaga arcade game for sale. Destroy the alien invaders in this arcade classic! Released in 1981 by Namco, and licensed to Midway for its North American release, Galaga is one of the most successful classics of the golden age of arcades, despite it being a sequel game. The goal of the game is to destroy as many of the insect like aliens as possible without letting them destroy your spacecraft. The aliens fly in various formations, and bonuses are awarded for clearing certain playfields. The player uses a joystick to move the spaceship left or right and avoid incoming fire or stray enemies, and a fire button to shoot missiles at the invaders. This game had several upgrades to it’s predecessor, Galaxian, including a hit/miss ratio, the ability to fire more than one shot at a time, and also a bonus round! Another new feature is the tractor beams used by the ‘boss’ alien who can capture the active spaceship. This classic game comes in an original Midway cabinet with original control panel, marquee, side art, and bezel artwork and a 19 inch CRT monitor.
